Myth : To lose weight stay away from Carbs!
Fact: There are good and bad carbohydrates. Agreeably, the bad carbs are those which are refined or made with corn, fructose that increase belly fat. It is the good carbohydrates or complex carbs such as whole grains, brown rice, quinoa, oats, whole wheat pasta, fruit and vegetables that are packed with fiber. Such carbs also reduce the visceral fat which is dangerous as it is the kind of fat that wraps around the visceral organs promoting insulin storage. Cravings for more sugar resultantly increase leading to weight gain and added risk for heart disease, high blood pressure, breast and colon cancers and type 2 diabetes.
